Talent Acquisition Specialist
Job Description
Incumbent is responsible for attracting, sourcing, and hiring top talent for both the Pri-Med and DC US divisions of Diversified Communications. The individual will be responsible for managing a through screening process with candidates that are cultural enhancements to the organization, building strong relationships with hiring managers and team members, cultivating a robust pipeline of candidates from diverse sources by utilizing their professional network, savvy search techniques, researching reputable job boards, attendance at job fairs and community events and relationship building with prospective candidates.
Essential Functions/Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and implement a variety of creative recruitment methods to build a diverse and robust candidate pipeline and source passive and active candidates through career portals, job boards, social media platforms, networking events, campus recruiting efforts and job fairs.
- Build strong relationships with hiring managers and their team members, working with management to determine skills, knowledge, abilities and characteristics for ideal job match.
- Conduct thorough preliminary applicant screening to gauge interest, qualifications and experience, enhancement to organizational culture, and compensation requirements.
- Schedule candidate interviews with hiring managers and team members to assess most qualified candidates for job role. Monitor the search and keep in close contact with candidates until the job is filled.
- Work closely with management on all diversity initiatives involving recruitment to ensure equity in hiring practices. Join the DEI recruitment and retention committee.
- Conduct thorough reference checks on finalist before job offer is extended.
- Ensure proper onboarding for new hires, including prompt and accurate completion of necessary paperwork, HR orientation and HCM processes.
- Build and maintain a diverse and qualified team using effective applicant screening methods and recruitment tools to support the organization.
- Provide training and guidance for hiring managers and teams on the hiring process and effective interviewing techniques.
- Assist with periodic compensation analyses to ensure salary ranges are competitive.
- Report recruitment metrics regularly on all activity, such as candidate diversity, time to fill, and number of applicants and screened candidates. This will also include timely candidate communication, turn down calls, ATS administration and requisite maintenance to ensure all applicants have proper communication through the process.
- Assist the HR team in company-wide programs that create an inclusive and welcoming team environment.
- Assist the HR team in other general employee programs and initiatives.
Knowledge: 3+ years' experience working in talent acquisition, onboarding, and retention processes. Experience in the continual development of talent pipelines and sourcing potential candidates. Previous experience developing and executing recruiting marketing and branding strategies. Experience working with a diverse team and providing equal employment opportunities to all applicants without regard to race, religion, national origin, age, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression.
Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Teams and LinkedIn Recruiter required. Experience with UKG Pro HCM a plus. Demonstrated sourcing strategies, strong candidate analysis and behavior-based interviewing skills required. Firm understanding and implementation of recruiting metrics to drive decision-making.
Abilities: Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with a wide audience. Must be able to come up to speed quickly on company culture, policies and procedures and employee benefits to best represent the company to potential candidates.
Supervisory Responsibilities: none
Travel: Will be required on a regular basis to travel to the Boston office and recruitment events throughout New England.
