Talent Acquisition Specialist II

ACCOUNTABILITY STATEMENT

The Talent Acquisition Specialist II (TASII) is responsible for delivering all facets of recruiting success throughout the organization. This will be achieved through the development of local and national recruiting plans, employing sourcing strategies and resources as well as developing new, creative recruiting ideas. The TASII will play a critical role in ensuring we are hiring the best possible talent. The Specialist will partner with management in the identification, recruitment, and qualification of VyStar Credit Union's on-going talent needs throughout our field of membership. Develop and implement recruitment/sourcing programs to expedite recruitment and staffing for VyStar via internal and external resources to ensure open positions are filled with high caliber talent to meet current and future needs. This Talent leader will manage the full recruiting life cycle within the corporate non-exempt/exempt professional area and will interface with internet sourcing tools and VyStar's Applicant Tracking System daily.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Lead full cycle recruitment for multiple business units which includes establishing and maintaining relationships with hiring managers to stay abreast of current/future hiring needs, and prospective candidates.
  • Serve as a Talent advisor to hiring managers and employees on staffing policies and procedures related to attracting, selection and onboarding of internal/external candidates. Source candidates by performing searches on job boards and social networking sites for qualified candidates according to relevant job criteria using computer databases, networking, internet recruiting resources, cold calls, recruiting firms, and employee referrals.
  • Attract applicants by attending professional networking, career fairs, employee resources, university recruitment, diversity networking and social media events.
  • Leads the selection process which includes screening, interviewing, facilitating hiring manager interviews, extending employment offers and onboarding.
  • Facilitates and negotiates candidate offers with guidance from Compensation and Talent Management leadership as needed.
  • Ensures integrity and compliance of the hiring process by evaluating candidate credentials and position description requirements to ensure all Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and affirmative action guidelines and laws, such as the Americans with Disabilities Act and followed.
  • Evaluate and analyze recruitment and selection effectiveness through statistical data and other reports identifying recruiting and hiring trends, retention (internal/external candidates), and workforce diversity. Develop and execute a talent strategy in partnership with Culture & Belonging, Hiring Managers, HR Business Partners that includes workforce intention discussions and planning sessions to recruit, hire and promote world class talent
  • Partners with Marketing and Talent Acquisition leadership on attracting talent through select social media products and platforms.
  • Direct and lead the hiring process with outside staffing agencies as needed. Initiates and follows-up to completion all pre-employment processes (i.e., reference checks, background checks, drug screening etc.)
  • Recommends alternatives and solutions to policies, practices, and programs to address problems discovered in talent analysis process
  • When required, cooperate with government agents or VyStar's internal auditors in the auditing of company's employment policies and practices.
  • Attend a minimum of eight hours of community service in partnership with Community Engagement and Culture & Belonging.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION

  • A bachelor's degree (4 years - BS or BA degree) and four (4) years of corporate recruiting experience
  • Masters' degree preferred

EXPERIENCE

4+ years' experience recruiting exempt and non-exempt positions

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

This position requires an extremely perceptive person, who can relate to individuals at all levels. As unique situations present themselves, the incumbent must be sensitive to corporate needs, employee goodwill, and the public image.

  • Must have ability to work with all levels of management within the organization.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong personal computer skills
  • Advanced knowledge of employment laws and regulations
  • Advance experience working with social media and alternative recruiting sources other than job boards
  • Experience working with an ATS system (Workday preferred)

CERTIFICATIONS

Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification preferred
