Talent Acquisition Specialist - Las Vegas Properties
Job Description
You will be an integral part of the Talent Acquisition team working closely with recruiters, hiring managers and candidates as you lead the recruiting process of a portion of our business by attracting and selecting candidates. You will drive the strategies to ensure a pool of highly qualified candidates, interacting with hiring managers at all level in the organization to ensure an understanding of their organizations as well as anticipating and fulfilling the hiring needs and expectations for their teams.
You will be working with a large team of Talent Acquisition professionals with many opportunities for professional career growth.
- Drive the implementation of results-oriented comprehensive recruitment plans consistent with the strategic vision of MGM Resorts International Human Resources and Talent Acquisition to support all levels of the MGM Resorts International organization
- Build relationships with company leadership to be the "go to" strategic business partner for recruitment of talent ensuring full understanding and insight on department needs as well as the functions and key success factors of all positions within their teams; establish and maintain successful relationships with community partners, search firms, temporary staffing agencies, professional associations, and other organizations that provide recruitment value
- Audit and analyze data regularly to identify challenging positions to fill; set metrics to measure success; identify deficiencies in the applicant pool and take appropriate actions to source the necessary quality, quantity and diversity for a strong candidate pool; measure targeted results vs. expected outcomes and adjust strategies to meet expectations
- Lead creative and non-traditional recruitment strategies to source passive candidates and build skilled and diverse talent pools for all positions with particular focus on hard to fill, technical and high-volume positions
- Develop, implement, manage, and measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns, including appropriate job boards
- Communicate with Talent Acquisition teams to ensure a current knowledge of the broader needs and refer strong candidates for positions on other teams, support appropriate Talent Acquisition teams in sourcing top candidates for student internships and management training programs, actively research and apply thorough understanding of local and national job market, early indicators of change/trends, and related information to proactively keep the recruitment function cutting edge, and stay current on federal and state employment and immigration laws and governing regulations
- Take the initiative to network, as appropriate, to identify passive candidates, keep in touch with high potential candidates to maintain relationships and maintain active candidate pools for future open positions
- Oversee operational processes and mentor Talent Acquisition Representatives to ensure a seamless and timely flow of candidates through all processes within the MGM Resorts International applicant tracking system, communication with decision makers, quality customer service, legal compliance and adherence to applicable policies and procedures
- Ensure hiring managers receive status updates, as well as assistance with applicant repositioning and other common requests
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two (2) years of experience in Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, or related experience
- Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays
PREFERRED:
- Bachelor's Degree and or at least three (3) years of progressive experience in Human Resources or equivalent education and experience
- One (1) year of prior Recruitment/Staffing experience involving candidate interviewing, evaluation and placement
- Workday Applicant Tracking systems experience
- Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems
- Experience in hospitality
- Bi-lingual, with English as primary or secondary language
