Talent Attraction, Brand and Recruitment Marketing Principal
Job Description
The Talent Attraction, Brand and Recruitment Marketing Principal will create, curate, and cultivate strategies to implement talent marketing campaigns. The ideal candidate will drive candidate attraction to support the overall talent brand efforts of the MITRE Talent Acquisition Team to support our company mission: Solving Problems for a Safer World. MITRE is seeking a talent marketing and brand expert that is focused on driving critical talent marketing strategies that will align to our organization's workforce plan, share talent trends, make expert recommendations, and manage our external partners. As a key partner within the Talent Acquisition team , you will collaborate with our talent acquisition leaders and colleagues. Additionally, you will partner with MITRE's Strategic Communications team in support of our greater corporate brand and marketing strategy. Your principal focus with be to optimize the talent brand strategy, strengthen our employer brand, and develop strong talent pipelines that will enable our organization to achieve its strategic mission with "ready now talent."
Role and Responsibilities
This position will manage our online and offline careers properties and run scalable talent marketing campaigns and activations to engage potential/passive candidates. You will partner with teams across the enterprise to drive results for individual sector recruitment targets and serve as a liaison to centralize and communicate MITRE's highest priority hiring needs. The successful candidate will provide strategic direction on talent branding and marketing for our Talent Acquisition team, business, key partners to include Strategic Communications, and vendors. You will work to support the organization both strategically (presentations, recommendations, analysis, trends, insights) and technically (systems, storyboards, updates, drafting and designing content for campaigns, developing, and distributing newsletters, etc.).
We seek an individual that has the capability and proficiency to lead the total talent attraction strategy and recruitment marketing efforts for the organization.
Partner with TA Leads and HR Business Partners to proactively define talent and campaign requests. Design, create content for, and execute recruiting strategies to attract top talent including strengthening talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs, such as events (social/virtual/in-person). Develop marketing materials (email, social media, infographics, newsletters) to increase talent awareness of available openings, programs, and events.
Partner with Strategic Communications team to develop bold, differentiated MITRE employment brand message, while maintaining consistency among external communications for TA. Collaborate with the Strategic Communications team to develop and launch integrated talent marketing campaigns and materials including digital content (social media, geo-targeting, and email marketing) and creative and multimedia assets videos, infographics, etc.). to achieve MITRE's talent acquisition goals. Works with internal communications team and external partners to create and produce recruitment campaigns for physical and digital assets (e.g., hiring event activations, job-specific videos, unique photography). Develop and execute multi-channel marketing strategies across digital platforms to support a competitive recruiting landscape and conduct measurement and analysis of campaigns. In collaboration with MITRE's digital design team, ensure all career sites and microsites (on the Phenom CMS) are designed and maintained in accordance with MITRE brand standards and guidelines. Collaborate with MITRE's strategic events team to incorporate and deploy talent campaigns across the event portfolio.
Analyze workforce plan, hiring reports and open requisition reports to develop talent brand strategies, recommendations, and insights to recommend campaigns. Define, analyze, and communicate metrics and ROI data that demonstrate effectiveness and success of talent marketing campaigns to TA, HR & business leadership. Measure and manage full-funnel efficiency metrics and reporting to deliver operational excellence and engagement to highlight our success story.
Develop the skills of the TA team by coaching/training and inspiring talent engagement. Provide guidance to MITRE's sourcing team and leverage talent insight tools to collaboratively identify talent pools for niche and critical skills. Partner with and collaborate with DE&I, Student Programs, Military and Veteran, Referral and Alumni programs, business rotational programs, and BRGs and corporate talent events to support talent marketing efforts.
Develop strategic integrated marketing plans that deliver impactful narratives about careers at MITRE, while increasing the number of applicants for specific job groups. Builds strategies to source and attract talent through both digital and physical recruiting channels.

Required Experience
- 10 years of work experience and a bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline
- 3+ years supporting talent attraction, brand, or recruitment marketing (or social media management, digital media, advertising/marketing)
- 3+ years of experience designing and implementing talent marketing strategies
- 3+ years of experience collaborating with external vendors with talent marketing related efforts.
- Experience in employer/employee value proposition creation
- Strong business acumen and ability to navigate an ever-changing environment
- Proven experience in maintaining schedules, projects and change management
- Strong writing/storytelling capability
- Ability to create and present engaging and transformative content in virtual or in-person format to all levels within an organization
- Think and act both strategically and tactically. Must have a passion for successfully delivering talent pipelines while building a brand, who can serve as a strong advocate for our candidates and employees
- Talent Acquisition knowledge with the ability to understand relevant marketing techniques to engage our target candidate profiles
- Experience working with/managing creative designs (to includes video, social media, writing, photos, graphics, etc.)
- Ability for occasional travel to assist with events and in support of the business
- Experienced in "up-and-coming" tools to promote recruitment marketing
- Experience in supporting recruiting events (brand, technology, and recruitment)
- Participate in special projects or perform other duties as requested.
Preferred experience
- Website management and measurement experience
- 5+ years supporting talent acquisition
- Advanced presentation tool experience
- Experience managing email marketing campaigns and related platforms
- Experience with Workday or a comparable applicant tracking system.
- Active in the social digital arena
- Prior experience with Phenom or similar platform
