About the Role
Candidate must be local to Chicago or willing to relocate, as well as come in 2-3 times a week.
The Talent Development Manager is responsible for designing, creating, executing, and leading learning and development initiatives related to focusing our employees and managers to execute with speed and quality, achieve results for our customers, and grow and develop professionally.
In this role, you will be focused on creating and optimizing effective, clear, and engaging learning experiences that drive high performance and results. The Talent Development Manager must be a smart and business minded experienced individual who integrates into Beyond’s business teams to understand needs and then delivers effective learning opportunities.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and implement programs to enhance leadership development, job performance, and professional skills across the organization.
- Direct the creation and management of professional and leadership development strategies and programs that align with strategic initiatives to develop our capabilities throughout the company
- Deliver virtual and onsite training to various audiences that result in the development of expected skills and abilities.
- Diagnose any gaps between current and desired organization performance and deploy solutions that resolve gaps by consulting with business leaders and leveraging professional experience to implement solutions.
- Builds deep understanding of the internal and external business landscape to inform and shape talent management, leadership development and learning experiences and programs that support and drive strategic business outcomes.
- Define and measure success metrics to assess short and long-term learning transfer and effectiveness of training programs.
- Be a thought leader in the areas of virtual and on-site learning best practices, instructional design and adult learning theories and methodologies.
- Manage the enterprise talent onboarding program
You’ll Thrive In This Role With
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources or relevant area or equivalent experience.
- 5 years experience in talent/leadership development.
- Experience developing and delivering comprehensive learning and/or career development programs.
- Experience consulting and engaging with senior level business leaders.
- The ability to navigate ambiguity, drive clarity, and effectively manage change in a fast-paced environment.
- Program or project management experience; strong level of ownership and attention to detail
- Excellent communication, collaboration and influencing skills; strong executive presence
- Strong analytical skills, including ability to synthesize data to identify themes and create solutions to address issues - getting to the business ‘why’ quickly.
- Ability to both think strategically and translate strategy to tactical plans and drive implementation.
- Experience working at a Start-Up or Fintech company.
