Primary Purpose:

The role of the Talent Development Specialist II is to manage and coordinate activities and functions of employee and talent development, employee engagement, and the Five Pillars Academy. The Five Pillars Academy is the framework for courses and classes to provide opportunities for employees and leaders to increase their business and professional skills.

Essential Functions:

Supports the Talent Development Strategic Plan and Objectives.

Supports the overall Human Services retention strategies

Creates and analyzes employee life cycle surveys, i.e. onboarding, 6 week post-hire, internal transfer for current ARUP employees, exit survey.

Creates and analyzes other surveys needed for Human Services purposes.

Works with individual divisions to create training and competency in LEaP to meet regulatory and professional requirements.

Works with specific groups to assign and provide documentation of required training, i.e. Business Development, Medical Directors, R & D, and IT Conduct training and learnings needs assessments.

Creates and support professional learning activities required for employees and leadership to support individual, business, and professional development

Assists in the determination of appropriate courses for leadership as part of the Five Pillars Academy.

Manages and conducts learning activities for new and current supervisors and managers including new leadership Development Plan in LEaP and classroom training.

Assists in the evaluation of the program effectiveness based on feedback and evaluations of the courses.

Works with other members of the Talent Development Team to develop communications and promotional materials.

Interacts and serves as a liaison for employees and presenters as part of any employee development programs.

Prepares periodic reports on the utilization and effectiveness of our employee development programs.

May assist with approved engagement activities and programs with assistance from other members of the Talent Development Team

May assist with the ARUP recognition programs and plans and organizes ARUP recognition events.

May assess and document technical qualifications for individuals applying for clinical laboratory positions.

Serves as backup to Student Education Coordinator

Other duties as assigned.

Physical and Other Requirements:

Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist.

Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.

Mobility: The person in this position needs to occasionally move between work sites and inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

Communicate: Frequently and effectively communicate with others.

PPE: Biohazard laboratory environment that requires use of personal protective equipment in accordance with CDC and OSHA regulations and company policies.

ARUP Policies and Procedures: To conduct self in compliance with all ARUP Policies and Procedures.

Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.

Fine Motor Control: Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand as in handling.

Vision: Having close, far, and peripheral visual acuity to perform a variety of tasks such as make general observations of depth and distance.
