The Talent Manager, Performance Management & Competencies will lead an equitable enterprise-wide performance management process, foster a culture of growth and continuous performance conversations, along with further embed our core competencies in support of LyondellBasell's strategic goals and objectives.

The Talent Manager, Performance Management & Competencies will be responsible for the following:
Performance Management:
- Act as the Process Owner for the company's enterprise-wide performance management process.
- Strategically lead on fostering a culture of continuous feedback and performance improvement and provide guidance on the use of the performance management program.
- Lead communications strategy and development. Document and communicate the annual process to leaders, employees and HR.
- Coach and provide guidance to HR Business Partners on the performance management process and meeting facilitation. Lead in gathering and communicating best practices to the enterprise.
- Uses analytical expertise to develop, track, review, and analyze performance management metrics (e.g., compliance, ratings, trends, etc.) and communicate findings.
- Partner with the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion team on key metrics supporting our DEI goals
- Develop Executive Leadership Team presentation of annual performance management metrics and summary.
- Collaborate with colleagues in HR Management Systems, Total Rewards, and HR Business Partners to identify improvements. Recommend and implement changes to improve effectiveness and ensure equity. Track and report effectiveness of the process.
- Consults with business to provide learning and resources for performance improvement and development.
- Effectively embed employee competencies into the performance management process as well as other key people processes and practices as appropriate.
- Monitor the effectiveness of the competencies to drive expected behaviors, recommend and implement revisions as needed.
- Lead on any competency changes or updates in line with our strategic goals and direction, ensuring the validity of performance competencies.
- Develop and drive change management communications related to core competencies
This role will also support the implementation of Talent, Learning and HR strategic priorities as needed.
Min. Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree in related field preferred. Education within psychology, training, human resource management, operational excellence, or a related field would be preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources roles, along with experience leading a team.
- Experience working in a global organization, building and optimizing a variety of programs across diverse teams and cultures. Experience leading global teams and cross-functional projects.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence and motivate people at all levels, including senior leadership, stakeholders and peer groups.
- Strong program and project management skills, and ability to operationalize and lead programs.
- Ability to multi-task in fast-paced deadline-intensive environment; anticipate obstacles and plan contingencies.
- Confident, savvy, well prepared individual with the ability to adapt quickly and advance the goals for the organization across all levels.
- Collaborative facilitator, excellent relationship builder, demonstrates compassion and loyalty for his/her colleagues across all business functions and levels.
- Ability to think strategically while delivering practical solutions.
- Experience utilizing assessment tool for needs assessment, manager and employee development, selection, team effectiveness, employee engagement.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products, and skilled with MS Excel.
