Responsibilities:

The Targeting Analyst provides mid-level targeting analysis to identify, assess, and disrupt threats to cleared industry, cleared personnel, DOD, and DCSA; facilitate USG responses to adversary action and insider threats by sharing threat indicators and enabling responsive measures from other agencies and services; and develop and operationalize an enterprise security risk management methodology across Government and industry stakeholders. Daily duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • Conduct targeting analysis to identify, assess, and disrupt threats to cleared industry, cleared personnel, DOD, and DCSA.
  • Independently conduct research using all sources of information and intelligence, and if required, seeks out access to information and databases to complete the mission to focus DCSA targeting efforts.
  • Identify adversarial entities targeting cleared industry facilities, information, personnel, and/or technologies resident in the NISP.
  • Develop target products that facilitate USG responses to adversary action.
  • Draft multi-disciplinary targeting products that support key U.S. national security and foreign policy objectives and helps shape IC investigations, operations, collections, and priorities.
  • Develop comprehensive targeting packages for OGA action to deter, detect, exploit, neutralize, or disrupt adversarial entities.
  • Apply a full range of targeting methodologies, tools, and approaches to gain a comprehensive understanding of complex issues and incorporate insights and finding into well crafted, sophisticated targeting products.
  • Coordinate, collaborate, and engage with customers and stakeholders to improve integration and share threat information to enable responsive measures from DCSA, and other agencies and services.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with DCSA, DoD, other USG departments and agencies to collect and share intelligence information.
  • Disseminates information throughout the intelligence, CI and LE communities.
  • Refer detailed threat information meeting certain investigative and operational thresholds expeditiously to the appropriate IC and/or LE partners for investigative or operational exploitation.
  • Attend targeting-related conferences, as tasked.
Requirements:
  • Mid level positions require 8 + years of experience and a Bachelor's degree.
  • Required Education: NGA, CCMD, or Service Target Materials Production (TMP) certification. Must be certified in Basic CDE Methodology or certified in PPM by NGA or an NGA-accredited Service Component.
  • Demonstrates experience with Target Coordinate Mensuration (TCM), Modernized Integrated Database (MIDB), and Google Earth. Proficient with Socket Community Gold Standard (CGS), Joint Weaponeering System (JWS), DCiDE / DIEE, and Joint Targeting Toolbox.
  • 8 + years’ experience with doctrinal intelligence support leveraging intelligence community architectures.
  • 8+ years’ experience in Intelligence Community analysis and production, collection, and warning requirements management.
  • Experience providing information briefings to senior military (GO/FO) and civilian personnel
  • Experience developing intelligence collection requirements
  • General familiarity with current IC governing directives, including ICD 203, 206, and 208, as well as AIS.

  • Intelligence Fundamentals Professional Certification (IFPC) and/or Certified Collection Management Professional - Fundamentals (CCMP-F) preferred
  • Intelligence Planner Certification desired

Security Clearance:

  • TS/SCI with CSP preferred
