Job Description
We are looking to add an Audit/Transaction Services Senior to join our Northeast Region. One half of the role involves audits, reviews and compilations including oversight of staff, interactions with clients and managing multiple engagements at one time. The second half of the role involves in all aspects of the M&A process from client development to transaction closing mainly through buy-side and sell-side due diligence.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Regular duties include (but are not limited to):
• Participate meaningfully in all aspects of transaction development and execution
• Develop and present analyses and presentations in client and prospect meetings
• Participate in M&A strategy development discussions
• Draft information memoranda and management presentations
• Coordinate and support due diligence
• Monitor relevant transactions, capital market trends, company financial statements, industry, regulatory, and other economic information
• Mentor and develop staff (Analysts and Associates)
• Perform and assist with audits, reviews and compilations for clients in various industries
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and evaluate internal controls
• Assist with the coordination of the day-to-day duties of planning, fieldwork and wrap-up
• Deep understanding of accounting and reporting standards
• Develop reasonable time budgets and coordinate audit requests to meet time constraints and client deadlines
• Interact with clients to help ensure the information flow from the client to the audit team is efficient
• Communicate with Manager and/or Director on work status and client issues that arise
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Experience
• 4+ years in relevant position
• Public accounting or other professional services environment preferred
Education
• Minimum Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technology experience
• Bachelor’s in Accounting (for Audit or Tax)
License / Certification
• Must progress professionally by obtaining relevant certification as soon as possible if certification is not already attained in order to advance
• Must maintain required CPE credits annually
Legal / Compliance
• Must complete acknowledgement of Independence Guidelines and Ethical Standards document
• Governmental engagements require ability to obtain a security clearance from the United States government

For job postings in our New York City location, we are required by law to include a good faith salary range for every job, promotion, and transfer opportunity in accordance with the New York City Human Rights Law. This range considers many factors, including but not limited to a candidate’s knowledge, job specific skills, experience, licensure, and certifications. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this position is $93,000 to $130,000.
