Task Coordinator

This position is responsible for assigning shipping tasks using a control board. The Task Coordinator must be attentive to details, insure consistent flow, and balance workload of Material Handlers (Shipping Order Pickers).

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS/DUTIES OF THE POSTIION

• Monitor progress and assign open task to Material Handler (Shipping Order Pickers) in the warehouse
  • Determine task and schedule it in the most efficient flow
• Perform Daily queries , sort, assign tasks using Excel, WMS and Oracle
• Assign priority orders and maintain consistent flow for the warehouse operation to fulfill customer demands and meet departmental goals
• Communicate with internal customers to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Ability to handle multiple request, meet deadlines and adjust to an ever-changing environment
• Monitor floor conditions and effectively adapt workflow to optimize output
• Strong Excel skills, Must be familiar with different WMS computer programs Microsoft Office
• Ability to take on other warehouse duties as assigned

• Prefer previous experience on material handling equipment

• Must be able to lift a minimum of fifty (40) pounds

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

• High school diploma/General Education Degree (GED) and/or equivalent work experience
• Previous Material Handling experience (Powered equipment experience preferred)
• Excellent planning and organizational skills.
• Proven ability to follow through on commitments and details.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skill.
• Proven team player.
