Task Force Sales Director
Job Description
We are looking for a seasoned, high performing Sales Director to help our newest Mint House properties get up and running as quickly as possible! This individual will have a track record of setting up processes, generating business development opportunities and quickly establishing key local partnerships while coordinating with owners and operations partners. The Task Force Sales Director will be the first boots on the ground in each of our new markets, and help set them up for success.  This role is remote.
AT MINT HOUSE YOU WILL- Run point on managing all Sales items in the Mint House property-opening project management process. From Pre-opening to launch, and in some cases, post launch. Ensure all items are completed on time in order to ensure flow of Revenue streams
- Through active communication and partnership, work across discipline to ensure Sales has all necessary items from across the organization - including but not limited to Brand, Design, Finance and OperationsÂ
- Create pre-opening property business plansÂ
- Quickly assess the market and identify potential partnerships and target clients
- Ensure property is listed on a variety of distribution channels, including but not limited to: Cvent, CVBs, Chambers of Commerce, Local Universities & Hospitals
- Interface with property owners/landlords to build rapport and trust, as well as generate local business opportunities for assigned Mint House property
- Present as part of the Mint House team, updates and activities as needed to ownership
- Work with Senior Director of Corporate Partnership to ensure properties’ participation in Consortia programs, and any applicable National Negotiated Corporate rate agreements
- Use LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and other tools to identify prospects
- Create a sales pipeline Local Negotiated rate agreements, and group business through proactive outreach to prospective clients utilizing a combination of networking at local industry events/conferences, client meetings, email campaigns, online marketing.
- Work with local and national relocation firms, corporate housing firms to book long term lease businessÂ
- Respond to inbound group and BT opportunitiesÂ
- Partner with Revenue Management team, and participate as part of new-property Pod team, communicating sales strategies and tactics as well as local market trends and conditions to ensure optimal pricing and restrictions for BT and Group business
- Maintain accurate records of all sales activities for purposes of maintaining and further developing the Mint House’s sales pipeline
- Communicate value proposition of Mint House’s portfolio as the preferred accommodation for short and extended stays that align with corporate client needs and requirements for stays and events
- Continue to build a distinctive brand and strengthen relationships in assigned markets
- Negotiate contract terms and create long term relationships for recurring bookings and loyalty Â
- Participate in weekly meetings with the broader sales team to discuss brand positioning, forecasting, and all aspects of the sales process to build out Mint House’s footprint
- Responsible to meet and exceed revenue goals Â
- Conduct sales tours and at assigned properties and in-market entertainment and sales calls
- Once launched and assigned to a Director of Sales or Regional Director of Sales, transition the property, account relationships and information for continued success and growthÂ
- As needed, with with VP of Sales and Real Estate team to assess new market opportunities
- As needed, temporarily manage DOS responsibilities for un-assigned propertiesÂ
- Travel up to 70%
- At least 8 years of consultative sales experience; boutique, non branded hotel experience preferredÂ
- Preferred: Experience and track record of successful new property launchesÂ
- Experience writing and executing annual business plans and account plans
- Notable experience to leverage network to identify account prospects that are an optimal fit for Mint House in order to increase revenue and further increase brand awareness and Mint House as the preferred accommodationÂ
- Proven track record of closing small to mid-sized Group and BT opportunities
- Knowledge of developing and executing sales and marketing objectives and strategies required
- Preferred experience with OTA extranets (Expedia, Booking.com, Airbnb), OTA Insights, STR, Agency360, LinkedIn Sales Navigator or open to learning new systems and sales enablement tools
- Experience in Microsoft Powerpoint, Excel & PDF, G-Suite in order to help create presentations & marketing materials as needed

Compensation Range: $100,000-120,000 w/ bonus planÂ
