Tax Accountant

Due to business growth a new position has been created for a Tax Accountant to join our high performing and innovative team. The Tax Accountant will be responsible for preparing the sales & use tax returns and assisting with the onboarding of customer’s tax information into Daniels systems to ensure accurate tax invoicing and tax exemption treatment. The Tax Accountant will also assist with the preparation of USA federal and state income tax returns, franchise tax filings and tax provision calculations.

Responsibilities:

• Preparation of Sales & Use tax returns for all US companies
• Assist with the onboarding of new customers into the Daniels Billing system to ensure accurate tax invoicing and correct tax treatment of exemptions
• Assist with the preparation of USA income tax returns including Federal, State and Country/City income and franchise tax returns
• Assist with the preparation of monthly income tax provision calculations and monthly reconciliations of tax accounts for management books
• Assistance with tax audits and reviews by Government Authorities
• Undertaking tax research to provide technically accurate tax advice to the business
• Contributing to tax planning projects and strategy development in consultation with the Senior Tax Accountant and Senior Tax Manager

Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree in Accounting or Business
• CPA or desire to undertake CPA or equivalent
• 2-3 years' experience working in a Tax role in Public Accounting or Industry
• Intermediate MS Excel skills
• Detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Ability to work autonomously and keep motivated
• Good communication skills
