Tax Administrative Assistant

The Tax Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing a broad spectrum of support to the Tax Department in a fast-paced, challenging and rewarding environment. This position will work closely with the tax team on various projects and day-to-day assignments. Requirements include extensive people, communication, organizational, technical and process skills; significant ability regarding attention to detail; and the ability to continuously prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Essential Job Functions:

• Maintain the client due date list for multiple partners

• Maintain the due date tracking system to ensure that tax return due dates are accurately reflected

• Maintain the workflow management system to ensure that the tax return status is accurately reflected

• Scan tax documents provided by clients and import into tax software

• Process federal and state tax returns completely and accurately and deliver to clients via the tax return delivery system

• Assist with preparation and delivery of client engagement letters

• Uphold a strict level of confidentiality

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent, Associates Degree is a plus

• 3 plus years of administrative support

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

• Professional services experience preferred, prior CPA firm experience is a plus

• Proven ability to work in a deadline driven environment and handle a wide variety of tasks and priorities

• Strong attention to detail

• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment

• Flexibility and willingness to work overtime during tax busy seasons, including some weekends
