Tax Analyst

The Tax Analyst primary responsibilities are tax compliance, audit support, and communication with internal teams. Successful candidates must possess an entrepreneurial spirit to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment, and be highly self-motivated.
Essential Duties

• Prepare and ensure timely filing of monthly domestic and international indirect tax filings
• Perform monthly general ledger account reconciliations
• Review and update tax codes in Avalara software with changes in business and tax law
• Prepare property tax renditions and gross receipts returns
• Coordinate with external provider for timely filing of annual franchise reports
• Communicate with other internal departments to provide detailed, comprehensive responses to indirect tax inquiries
• Prepare and track domestic and international business tax registrations
• Research and stay up to date with current tax rates and indirect tax regulations
• Prepare responses and supporting documentation for tax notices and tax audits
• Assist with collecting and monitoring customer tax status and identification numbers
• Examine records and documentation to identify and support tax refund claims
• Assists in developing and implementing tax processes and technologies to improve efficiencies
• Assist the Tax Senior and Tax Manager with corporate income tax matters including tax provisions and tax returns
• Assist the Payroll Team on ad-hoc basis with payroll tax matters

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• Preferred experience with Avalara
