Tax Analyst

As a Tax Analyst with Convera based in our Denver office, you will assist the Global Head of Tax Compliance and Reporting with worldwide direct tax compliance, income tax provisions under ASC 740 and IAS 12/IFRIC 23,  transfer pricing, income tax notices and audits and liaising with the accounting or finance department to ensure that all tax related date requirements are met.

You will be responsible for:

• Financial statements: assisting in preparation of the worldwide income tax provisions under ASC 740 and IAS 12/IFRIC 23 for legal entities and/or legal entity groups including preparation of the financial statement footnotes relevant to all tax related disclosures
• Income tax returns: assisting in preparation of all US and foreign income tax returns for corporations, partnerships and other legal entities, as required, including tax estimates and other filings as necessary
• Informational tax returns: assisting in preparation of all US and foreign informational tax returns for corporations, partnerships and other legal entities, as required
• Managing income tax notices or inquiries
• Conducting tax research and analysis to confirm tax positions on federal and state returns
• Other items as requested: assisting, coordinating and reviewing transfer pricing requirements, cash management, intercompany agreements, country-by-country filing requirements, tax planning and any other tax relevant items.
  
• Non-Essential Functions: coordinating or collaborating with other internal and external functions operations between departments

You should apply if you have:

• B.A., B.S., Accounting/Finance
• 2+ years of relevant tax experience
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work in a team environment which values teamwork and strong collaboration
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and responsibilities to meet deadlines
• Attention to details and strong organizational skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Excellent Microsoft Excel skills with demonstrated ability to manage a high volume of data and utilize pivot tables, complex formulas, VLOOKUPs etc. 

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience in Oracle EBS, Oracle Cloud and/or FCCS
• Experience with income tax provision for a multinational organization(s)
• Certified Public Accountant or eligible for licensure
