Tax Associate (Mankato Office)

We are currently seeking a talented and enthusiastic individual to join our Tax Department in our Mankato, MN office in August 2025 or January 2026. Our tax team proactively services individuals and businesses to help clients minimize taxes and maximize growth. With ongoing continuing education, you’ll stay current on tax legislation to identify strategic tax planning opportunities for clients.

Responsibilities

• Prepare tax computations, workpapers, and tax entries
• Assist clients with bookkeeping and adjusting journal entries
• Prepare income tax returns (individual, partnership, multistate, corporate, and other)
• Assist with year-end planning and quarterly tax estimates
• Assist with initial preparation of client files
• Assist in proofing tax returns and other documents
• Assist with preparation of payroll and quarterly/year-end payroll tax returns
• Assist in researching technical issues

Qualifications and/or Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field with 150 credit hours
• 0-3 years of accounting experience
• Minimum 3.0 GPA and a solid track record of academic achievements

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
• Exemplary communication and organizational skills
• Strong desire to learn and develop professionally
• Motivated to serve clients
• Desire to be a team player
