This is Accounting at Lattice
We’re looking for a Tax Director who will manage all aspects of Lattice’s global tax strategy, planning, audits and compliance. This position will build and scale tax functions. This hands-on and strategic role will report directly to the VP Corporate Controller.
What You Will Do
- Build scalable global tax operation to support the organization’s continued growth
- Oversee all aspects of US federal, state and local income, sales tax, property tax, and global indirect tax filings and audits. Ensure timely and accurate filing while minimizing tax liability
- Monitor legislative and regulatory changes in tax laws and identify and address complex domestic and cross-border tax matters.
- Ensure compliance with global transfer pricing documentation requirements
- Lead and oversee the preparation of global income tax provisions including ensuring accurate and timely ASC 740 tax accounting and financial reporting disclosures
- Lead tax automation and process improvement
- Provide forecasts and guidance regarding future effective tax rates and cash taxes
- Perform tax due diligence, provide structural advice on transactions, analyze proposed acquisitions, collaborate with deal teams and provide ad hoc advice on all tax matters.
- Research complex tax issues and prepare tax technical memorandum and documentation
- Oversee audits of federal, state, local and international tax filings
What You Will Bring To the Table
- 10+ years of tax experience with strong knowledge of accounting for income taxes, corporate income tax compliance and audits (federal, state, and local), international taxes, internal controls, U.S. GAAP, and SEC reporting requirements
- MS Excel skills, experience with provision software and/or ERP environment required
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate complex tax matters to non-tax professionals and to execute complex, multi stakeholder initiatives.
- Organized, strategically focused, detailed oriented, and able to deal with ambiguity in a constantly evolving environment
- Action-oriented and solution-driven with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor’s in Accounting; Master’s in Taxation or LLM a plus. CPA is required
