Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in all areas of the Company's Tax Function (excluding payroll tax)
- Oversee management of tax projects and workstreams, including coordination with external tax consultants
- Review deliverables prepared by external tax service providers
- Play key role in preparing supporting schedules related to the Company's federal, state, and local income tax returns and Year End Income Tax Provision
- Support financial statement audit by assisting with tax related requests / documentation
- Perform technical research
- Manage tax integration processes related to acquired companies
- Document tax processes and procedures
- Identify process improvements to drive efficiency and accuracy
KEY DUTIES
- Coordinate with GHX Accounting and other teams to obtain data necessary to the tax function
- Prepare supporting schedules related to the Company's US federal, state, and local income tax returns and Year End Income Tax Provision
- Review tax provision and tax return forms and calculations prepared external tax accounting firm
- Assist with budgeting and managing vendor spend
- Update cash tax forecasts
- Maintain tax records and ensure tax filing calendars / trackers are up to date
- Manage and respond to tax notices
- Prepare monthly reconciliations and returns related to the Company's sales and use tax compliance obligations
- Prepare quarterly reconciliation of sales tax payable G/L account
- Prepare quarterly transfer pricing calculations
- Other duties as assigned
KEY COMPETENCIES
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to effectively manage projects, prioritize and multi-task
- Be able to work independently as well as working well with a team
- Eagerness and willingness to learn
- Flexible and able to adapt to changes in the business and tax regulatory environment
- Strong knowledge of accounting and tax procedures and processes
- Keen attention to detail
Required Education, Certifications, and Experience
- Master's degree in Tax or an accounting discipline with a tax emphasis or tax work experience
- At least 3-5 years of ASC 740 Acounting and compliance experience
- Experience with preparing consolidated corporate income tax returns, partnership income tax returns, and US international reporting
- Experience with financial statement audits and reporting requirements
- Strong knowledge of tax code and US GAAP
- Strong accounting, analytical, and research skills
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA certification and MS in Tax
- Public Accounting experience preferred

- Experience with Partnership Tax and K-1s
- Experience with Financial Statement Audits
Estimated Salary range for this position: $110,000 - $125,000
The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high end of the GHX's salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. The base salary is one component of GHX's total compensation package for employees.
