Interactive Brokers seeks a Tax Manager with a background in information reporting and tax withholding to support its expanding global brokerage business. A strong background in tax accounting is preferred. The position will report to the Global Head of Information Reporting and Tax Withholding, and it is based in Greenwich, CT. The role is Hybrid and will require in office presence 3 days/week.

• Ensure compliance with US, state and similar non-US information reporting and withholding tax rules, including year-end IRS Forms 1099, 1042-S and Canadian Forms T3, T5, T5008 and RL;
• Strong understanding of wash sales, basis computation and corporate action reporting;
• Work closely with programming teams to provide timely and accurate tax reporting;
• Identify and design improvements to tax withholding and reporting systems;
• Provide tax support to customers and sales personnel;
• Oversee US and Canadian retirement account compliance;
• Research and provide guidance on new tax legislation and regulations; and
• Develop and provide webinars on current tax topics for customers.

• 3 to 7 years of accounting and tax experience,
• Minimum of 3 years in the financial services industry
• Bachelors or advanced degree in accounting required
• CPA or Masters Degree in Taxation preferred
• Strong tax technical background in tax information reporting requirements applicable to retail brokerage business
• Advanced MS Office skills, including MS Excel
