Job Description:

Job Responsibilities:

• Position based in Philippines, reporting to the APAC Tax Director;
• Single contributor;
• Responsible for managing the tax matters for UPS businesses in the Philippines;
• Collaborate with region tax/finance team and tax advisers on ensuring timeliness and accuracy of statutory filings;
• Review and ensure that UPS transfer pricing policies are adhered to in the statutory filings;
• Support/involve in tax planning/advisory work impacting the Philippines;
• Handle independently, or in collaboration with outside advisors, tax audits and tax controversies in the Philippines;
• Implementation of new tax regimes, include but not limited to working with Systems and Finance to set up processes that ensure compliance by UPS businesses;
• Assist in the documentation of quarterly tax positions under US ASC 740/ASC 450;
• Support/collaborate with F&A and/or other business functions on any ad-hoc assignments.

Requirements:

• Possess Bachelor Degree in Finance & Accounting or relevant discipline
• Minimum 10 years relevant working experience in Big 4 CPA firm or MNC environment
• Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic working environment
• Good time management and ability to meet multiple datelines
• An independent team player with good self initiative and willingness to learn
• Good oral and written communication skills and ability to interact with different levels of people
• Strong financial acumen, analytical, planning/organizing skills and attention to details
• Proficiency of Microsoft office applications especially in Excel & Words.
