Job Description

 POSITION SUMMARY:

 Ken Garff Automotive Group is seeking a tax senior associate/manager to assist with the Company’s federal and state tax compliance requirements for a diverse range of entity types within several industries. The role is located in the Company's corporate office in downtown Salt Lake City and will work directly with the Company’s tax director in preparing tax workpapers and returns, researching tax issues, working with tax authorities & third-party CPA firms, and helping with tax planning ideation. This position provides great flexibility, technical training & development, and future promotion opportunities.

Required Education and Skills

  • 2-5 years of experience plus Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Tax 
  • Current or aspiring CPA license is preferred 
  • Driven work ethic and career development aspirations 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Ability to learn new technologies and understand complex concepts 
  • Adept at recognizing and solving problems 
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail 
  • Proficient with Excel functions and capabilities
