Your impactÂ
The program is held over 14 weeks, from January 16Â to May 2, 2024, on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12-2:30pm ET
TAs play a critical role in teaching ~25-30 learners (as part of a larger class) in Correlation One’s virtual Amazon Data Centre Technician training program. The TA commitment for our programs will be for the duration of fourteen (14) weeks. TAs will be expected to support synchronous sessions as well as provide asynchronous support to Fellows to ensure their comprehension and learning. This is a fully remote role.
A day in the lifeÂ
- Onboarding (Pre-Program): January 4-12, 2024: We will host 1 live onboarding sessions, when we walk through the program elements, set you up on our systems, and ensure that you are prepared to teach and support learners effectively before the program launches on January 16, 2024. We will provide training materials in advance of, during, and after these onboarding sessions, which will be important for you to ensure your understanding of this content and your responsibilities.
- Mandatory Onboarding: Tuesday January 9 from 12-2PM ET
- Management and Support (During Program): January 16 - May 2, 2024
- Join us for our program launch, where you will introduce yourself to learners
- Attend all classes, scheduled on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12-2:30pm ET
- Join TA Weekly Meetings (1 hour each week).Â
- Provide up to 6 hours of individual office hour sessions for learners each week. You may set these hours within our parameters, for your convenience.
- Support in Grading Fellow’s deliverablesÂ
- Work with fellow instructors/TAs and our team on ways to improve learner experience (Note: you will be paired with a fellow TA to support a cohort of learners)Â
Your expertiseÂ
- Experience working in physical data centers or similar environments
- Experience in mentoring or supervising if not prior teaching experience
- A desire to support students in upskilling their careers into data roles
- Empathy, flexibility, patience; passion for working with diverse learners who are new to content
- A+ or Network+ certification an assetÂ
Where you are
- This role is remote and can be located anywhere that is compatible with the EST time zone. We are headquartered in New York City and have office space in Midtown Manhattan.
Compensation
- The estimated range for this position is a of Base: $4,000 - 5,500 and Bonus: Up to $1,890
