Primary Responsibilities:

  • Periodically assessing the coders' proficiency and routinely carrying out RCA
  • Identify training gaps and conduct training
  • Conducting the knowledge checks and providing feedback or a development plan for the coder who have not cleared the IRR, test, or quiz
  • Clarifying and ensuring that all project inquiries are answered in accordance with the timeframe
  • Review the error log captured by the auditors
  • Make sure that the quality and security standards (HIPPA, ISO, and ISMS) are followed both internally and externally, and educate staff members about them
  • Conducting training and refresher sessions to continuously increase the efficiency of the coders
  • Helping the team work to achieve and maintain their quality goals
  • Framing and updating the process guidelines on a need basis
  • Flexible to swap between projects based on the business requirements

  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:

  • AAPC/AHIMA Certification
  • 1+ years of experience as an SME / QA
  • Experience in Risk Adjustment Coding
  • Solid knowledge in Anatomy & Physiology
  • Understanding of US Healthcare industry, including but not limited to HIPAA/HITECH

Preferred Qualification:

  • 4+ years of Medical Coding experience
