Job Summary

The Team Coordinator serves as front line leadership to a designated shift team in an effective, value driven, performance based environment. The Team Coordinator will adhere to FP&R practices and principles to achieve key performance indicators, daily performance goals, coordinate activity between shifts and departments and keep the plant informed about performance on a regular basis. The Team Coordinator will coordinate the activities of shift team members, gather data, identify daily strategies that will maximize quality and productivity; and facilitate troubleshooting production issues all while maintaining positive employee relations.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plans and allocates resources and ensure staffing coverage to achieve the daily production schedule and deliver area KPI's
  • Provides direction and shift leadership to team to ensure maximum productivity and performance
  • Establishes a safe work environment by role modeling appropriate behaviors and addressing at risk behavior appropriately.
  • Incorporate Root Cause Analysis methodology to facilitate problem solving with operators and managers.
  • Analyze and report shift performance data (KPI's, AU, etc.), review performance data with affected teams, identify opportunities, recommend corrective action, and follow-up
  • Conduct shift meetings to communicate shift goals and results, and address barriers that are preventing the shift from achieving their goals.
  • Empowers teams by way of training, information sharing, coaching and feedback to ensure the development of people, skills, teams and organizational capabilities
  • Utilize plant technology (i.e. Wonderware, SAP, etc.) to coordinate the effective distribution of product and material to meet or exceed daily production goals
  • Gathers data and identifies a daily strategy which maximizes product quality and productivity
  • Understand and ensure compliance with facility policies and procedures (handbook, GMPs, safety standards) and partner with management team to address deviations
  • Active shop floor presence to drive improvement of team performance and behaviors in line with Colgate's value based environment.
  • Conducts daily people administration activities including timekeeping, vacation, overtime and attendance
  • Performs physical inventory cycle counts and reconciliation; investigating deviations when necessary
  • Reviews OPERA data for accuracy and completeness and make changes as required
  • Accountable for Operational Excellence (EOHS, Quality, FP&R) compliance and initiatives to deliver high levels of service to internal and external customers
  • Other job functions as assigned

Qualifications

Required:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • 5+ years Supply Chain Manufacturing work experience
  • Must be proficient with the following skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Google Applications, etc.)
  • Ability to work any shift as needed

Preferred:

  • BA/BS degree or persons pursuing their education and have aspirations for furthering their career with Colgate
  • 2+ years' experience in managing and leading teams
  • Previous manufacturing/operations experience of production and process equipment, preferably in a processing industry such consumer products, pharmaceuticals or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production scheduling, plant floor systems to include SAP, shop floor reporting and OPERA.
  • Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices, Batch Recordkeeping, and Quality Food & Drug Administration requirements

  • Excellent ability to multitask and prioritize duties
  • Proficient Computer skills including; Lotus Notes, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and SAP
  • Excellent at identifying the underlying principles, reasons, or facts of information by breaking down information or data into separate parts for analysis

Compensation and Benefits

Salary Range $ - $ USD

Pay is based on multiple non-discriminatory, individualized factors including but not limited to experience, job-related knowledge and education, skills and office/market location. In addition to base salary, salaried employees are eligible for annual discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing and, for Executive-level (salary grade 16 and above) roles only, long-term incentives in the form of Restricted Stock Units and/or Stock Options.

Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable benefits plans then in effect, all salaried employees are also eligible for a competitive benefits package which includes:

  • Insurance: Employees (and their eligible dependents) are eligible to participate in Company-sponsored Medical, Dental, Vision, Basic Life Insurance, Accidental Death & Dismemberment and Disability insurance plans.
  • Retirement Plans: Employees are eligible to enroll in Colgate's 401(k) plan, which provides for company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements
  • Vacation/PTO: Employees receive a minimum of 15 days of vacation/PTO leave annually
  • Paid Holidays: Employees receive a minimum of 13 paid/floating holidays annually
  • Paid Sick Leave: Based on location and consistent with applicable state and local law, employees receive a minimum of 40 hours of paid sick leave on January 1st of each year
  • Paid Parental Leave: Eligible employees may take up to eight weeks of paid parental leave and 12 weeks of unpaid leave (varies for employees with fewer than 12 months of service and is subject to hours worked requirements)
