Join the Service Division at Edward Jones to partner with associates who have a passion for serving our branch teams and clients' needs by tailoring solutions to ensure the most effective outcome, all while demonstrating a spirit of caring. The Service Division's mission is to provide timely answers, guidance, and support for our clients, branch teams and home office associates to enable an ideal client experience.

The Team Leader is responsible for leading a team of associates who respond directly to phone and written inquiries from our branch offices and/or clients. The critical responsibilities include:

  • Partner with leaders to establish team goals and expectations and holding associates accountable for meeting them.
  • Provide coaching and feedback for development and continuous improvement.
  • Build relationships with associates to create a motivating, engaging and inclusive environment.
  • Communicate Firm/Division/Department goals and objectives and applying change management and innovation techniques.
  • Maintain relationships with critical stakeholders to advocate for the branch and client and helping create an ideal client experience.
  • Remain up to date with market, firm, and industry events that impact department performance and end user experience.
  • Appropriately address client/branch escalations.
  • Effectively manage a team with high regulatory, financial, control/risk, anticipating and analyzing issues and implementing solutions; serving as a backup for the Department Leader.

Position Requirements

What skills you need:

  • SIE and Series 7 Top Off License required OR must be obtained within 100 business days, based on 2 allotted attempts per license.
  • 3 years of people leadership experience, or the completion of the Leadership Development course.
  • Experience coaching associates and delivering feedback.
  • Sound analytical skills and ability to understand processes and procedures.
  • Ability to adapt and to support change efforts.
  • Proven decision making and problem-solving ability.

What could set you apart:

  • Financial services industry knowledge on specific products, processes, and regulations.
  • Experience working in a contact center or customer service environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field.
  • Please note: Candidates that live within a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office three days per week, with preference for Tuesday through Thursday.
