The Opportunity

The Production Team Lead is responsible for a variety of operations functions within the framework of Metallics policies and procedures and in compliance of applicable regulations.
 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture.
  • Empower team members with skills to improve their confidence, product knowledge, and communication skills.
  • Coach and Train team members.
  • Develop and implement a timeline to achieve targets.
  • Develop team strengths and improve weaknesses.
  • Identify team goals and evaluate team progress.
  • Delegate tasks, follows up and assures production orders are processed (or completed) accurately.
  • Monitor team performance and report on metrics.
  • Motivate team members.
  • Listen to team members’ feedback.
  • Replenish team with materials as needed. (Ensure the team is supplied with material and/or production order as needed)
  • Assist team members with achieving production goals.

Qualifications

  • Lead experience - 1 year (minimum).
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Confidence and skillful negotiating skills.
  • Computer literate.
  • Strong organizational skills to give the team direction.
  • Knowledge of basic math; accuracy in counts.
  • Strong track record of safety performance/communication.
  • Must be responsible, reliable and take ownership of assigned duties.
  • Ability to take initiative and organize their own work independently.
  • Manufacturing – 2 years (preferred).
     

Educational Requirements

  • High School or equivalent
