FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT (m/f/d)

In this position you will be part of our accounts payable team and, in addition to the operative day- to-day business, you will be mainly responsible for the monthly accounts payable closing and the support in the general ledger.

Key Accountabilities and Activities

• Responsible for organising DEEU Internal process, J-Sox and self-audits.
• Researches and interprets accounting regulations and policies to resolve procedural questions.
• Responsible for Transfer Pricing/Pass through rates.
• Support with VAT returns and compliances (All sites Germany).
• Keeping track of financial transactions, to ensure they're accurate.
• Analyzing financial information and summarizing financial status.
• Analyzing trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses.
• Main contact person for the monthly closing accounts as well as for internal audit and EY auditors.
• Processing of general ledger entries (monthly accrual) prepaid (time accrual), foreign trade reporting and accounts reconciliation.

Your profile

• You are familiar with financial accounting systems and have good SAP user skills (S/4HANA)
• You work independently, have high expectations of your work results, are a team player and keep an overview even in time-critical projects
• You have an Accounting or finance degree.
• Solid knowledge of accounting regulations.
• Previous experience in an accounting or finance role.
• A good proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software.
• A solid understanding of bookkeeping competencies.
• You have good time management skills.
• Ability to remain confidential.
• Additional certification is a bonus.
• You are fluent in German, have a good command of English (written and spoken) and a good knowledge of MS Office.
