Team lead accounting | Lambersart

This position provides accounting support across DEME business entities in France, reporting to the Finance Manager France.Your responsibilities

• Reporting towards the Finance manager France
• Review and guide a team of accountants to ensure accurate accounting information
• Is responsible for the correct processing and booking of general journals, VAT, social, fiscal, debt, loans
• Assist with Tax and VAT compliance for various DEME entities in France
• Assists in activities to maintain the organization’s general ledgers and financial records
• Is responsible for timely quarterly and annual closing activities
• Reviews quarter-end journal entries
• Assist for the quarterly reporting packs
• Prepare the financial statements and attends to audit related matters during the statutory audit process, in relation with the Finance manager France
• Works with the Finance Manager to ensure a smooth and timely year-end audit
• Ad hoc tasks

Your profile

• Passion for finance/accounting
• Master’s degree with accounting major or related field
• At least 3 years of professional experience in an accounting/audit firm
• Experience in leading and managing a team
• Sound knowledge and application of general and analytical accounting principles
• Proven knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) is considered an asset
• You can express yourself in English and French. The knowledge of other languages is an asset
• Dynamic with an ability to take initiative, solve problems and deliver added value
• A strategic person with very good analytical skills coupled with attention to detail
• Modest and professional attitude, acting with integrity
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Knowledge of an international account software or ERP system, e.g. Microsoft D365, is a plus
