Job Description

• Manages data analysts, developers, and/or individual contributors in a matrix environment, and is accountable for conducting effective performance management
• Develops a BI roadmap and detailed project plan that will support organizational priorities
• Communicates direction for Business Intelligence (BI) processes to data analysts and individual contributors, and ensures methods align with organizational goals and objectives
• Coaches team members to ensure the seamless integration of data modelling techniques
• Ensures compliance with applicable regulatory, legal and company policies and procedures
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, and other IT teams to understand requirements, prioritize tasks, and ensure alignment of BI solutions with business goals and objectives
• Collaborates with multiple departments in the development and execution of strategies and plans that improve the organizations analytics landscape
• Drives continuous improvements in user experience, effectiveness, and efficiency in assigned area of responsibility
• Creates value by developing strong working relationships with leadership with a view to pro-actively understand and constructively influence their needs and expectations
• Translate business problems (sometimes ambiguous) into clear analytic problem statements
• Design a plan to develop and deploy advanced analytics solutions in collaboration with SMEs in Data Science & Engineering
• Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems is preferred

Qualifications

• 8-10 years of Statistics, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or other relevant business experience (In lieu of an MBA or PhD, 5-8 years of relevant work experience may substitute)
• Prior experience of leading large teams in a complex matrixed structure and managing key stakeholders internally and externally in a service delivery environment
• Collaboration, Communication & Influencing Skills: should be regarded as a constructive player representing Business Intelligence in various teams within the company. Should have the requisite communication skills to communicate & influence objectives and then develop collaborative relationships both internally and externally to achieve them
• Basic to intermediate SQL Experience
• Intermediate spreadsheet skills
• Data Analysis (Extracting (relevant data), analysis, visualization to share results.)
• Strong business acumen 
• Highly motivated individual with excellent oral and written communication skills
• Results-oriented; proven ability to prioritize, drive and achieve results

It would be a real bonus if you have

• Good understanding of Finance & Corporate Strategy at a high level is preferred
• Certification / Experience of Project Management
• Knowledge of Python, Power BI or Tableau is added advantage
• Prior experience / Knowledge with Fabric/Snowflake is a huge plus but not mandatory
• Strong analytical skills- prior experience of working on big data analytics projects
