Team Lead - Cloud Infrastructure Engineering

The infrastructure team is helping to build the backbone of Paradigm’s clinic research platform. As a team lead, you’ll build and deliver our AWS infrastructure across multiple AWS Regions/Zones Globally. You’ll build and support common infrastructure components, create tools and practices to enable rapid infrastructure development, and help the company achieve true scale. This role requires strong technical skills and the ability to lead and manage a team of 2-3.

What you’ll do:

• Build tools and processes to make infrastructure accessible across products and teams.
• Evolve the maturity of our monitoring systems and processes to improve visibility and failure detection in our infrastructure.
• Be an advocate for privacy and security across the organization.
• Actively participate in the hands-on building and management of AWS infrastructure in multiple geo zones.
• Use Terraform and Kubernetes to automate and manage infrastructure deployments.
• Manage, Mentor and guide the infrastructure team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

What you’ll bring:

• 7+ years of experience in a technical role such as Infrastructure or Platform Engineer
• Proven experience driving technical projects, prioritizing work, identifying dependencies, facilitating technical decisions, and cross-functional team discussions.
• Depth of expertise in AWS cloud compute and infrastructure with hands-on experience building AWS infrastructure in multiple geo zones.
• Depth of expertise in infrastructure as code (IaC) and infrastructure automation practices, particularly with Terraform.
• Experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration.
• Experience with CI/CD tooling and best practices.
• Experience troubleshooting complicated systems issues.
• Strong knowledge of security best practices.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor technical teams, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
