Team Lead Due Diligence Questionnaire Specialist
Job Description
This role is to provide an India based DDQ capability for Columbia Threadneedle’s growing business. This is a role for an experienced person to manage and complete DDQs and other documents across a broad range of actively managed asset classes, related to a) the growth of new business, b) the maintenance of existing business and to respond to ad hoc requests, as required. Channels supported: wholesale (intermediary), institutional, insurance, for all locations within the Group. You will attend weekly regional meetings with European, APAC, and/or North America based colleagues via Teams link.
The DDQ Specialist will need to have experience completing documents for an active asset manager, and to be a self-starter. There is an opportunity to become an ESG (Responsible Investment) DDQ specialist for the right candidate. A good grounding in institutional business with experience in completing documents to a high standard for products or topics including DEI, private equity and multi manager, as well as core asset classes such as equities, fixed income and multi asset would also be an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Strong experience in institutional DDQ writing for active strategies in the asset management industry
- Proven DDQ compilation, editing, proof reading and analytical skills. Proactive approach to maintaining the information flow within the RFP team and key stakeholders
- Ad hoc data projects and DDQs / RFI requests, as required
Qualifications
- Bachelors in commerce and/or MBA in Finance
- 5-7 years’ experience within an asset management group, ideally within institutional DDQ in active asset management
- Familiarity with a broad range of asset classes (especially active fixed income) and investment strategies
- Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint
- Excellent written English, with the ability to proof-read, improve language and tailor responses as needed
- Excellent communication skills, comfortable liaising with internal team (sales, consultant relations, RFP team, product managers, CPMs, PMs, etc.) and external team (consultants and third party providers) and building strong working relationships across the business
- Logical and pragmatic approach to completing requests. Able to operate with a minimum amount of supervision whilst being risk aware. Ability to work both as part of a team as well as independently. Team player with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic
- Willingness to follow established processes, adopt new procedures, and to keep learning; Proactive approach to maintaining the information flow within the RFP team and key stakeholders
- Very fine attention to detail. Exceptional project management and time management skills, comfortable managing a varied, deadline-driven workload
- Ability to ‘think outside the box’ and to own and critically review own work
- Ability to use content database – Qvidian will be preferred
- Preferably threshold competent (i.e. have completed, or studying for, IMC exam or equivalent)
