Team Lead, Enterprise Technology
Job Description
We're looking for a Team Lead, Enterprise Technology, to lead our team of Database Engineers and drive forward that team's strategy and execution. You will have an impactful voice in shaping direction and strategy for UWM's database management system, while collaborating with team members and all levels of leadership across our technology organization. We work in a fast-paced environment and we're looking for a candidate with a passion for delivery to join our team of over 1,300 technology professionals at the most innovative and disruptive company in the fintech space.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Lead day-to-day operations of the team, with an eye towards execution, team member growth, creative thinking and problem solving, and mentorship.
- Creating a supportive, collaborative and engaging environment, based on trust, transparency, elite client service, and cohesive team effort, that will empower your team to grow and thrive.
- Encourage creativity, risk-taking, and constant improvement amongst the team. Recognize and celebrate team and team member accomplishments and exceptional performance. Support the group when necessary.
- Provide regular status reports on tasks accomplished, current obstacles, and progress toward goals, as well as capacity, performance, uptime and security reporting.
- Facilitate effective communication to business clients, technical teams and leadership in a consistent manner, making complex concepts and solutions clear, simple and understandable.
- Manage vendor relationships and escalate issues when appropriate.
- Implement industry best practices pertaining to availability planning, security, scalability, and change management.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3+ years of Information Technology experience in an enterprise environment
- EXTERNAL CANDIDATES ONLY: 2+ years of experience leading team members
- Familiarity with RDBMS systems (SQL server and Azure knowledge preferred)
- Experienced in developing, updating, and maintaining processes and procedures.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with both technical and non-technical team members
- Strong analytical problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Experience with client management, including expectation setting and relationship management
- Ability to work with limited guidance in a team environment
- Excellent organizational skills
- This position requires on-site attendance.
NICE TO HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:
- Mortgage and/or Financial Services industry experience
- Computer Science-related degree
- Familiarity with Azure PaaS and IaaS Solutions.
