Description
The Team Lead's responsibilities include planning, organizing, and managing company employee events and the employee wellness program, coordinating refreshments for meetings, delivery of mail, serving as back-up for the Receptionist, serving as back-up for the Facilities Specialist as it relates to kitchen and office supplies, and assisting the Human Resources department on other projects and tasks as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Assist COO with yearly budget requests and assist in managing team budget.
- Serve as a sounding board and escalation point for complex issues for the Coordinator team.
- Provide input to next-level manager on hiring, performance, and other personnel decisions.
- Recommend professional development and provide job coaching to evolve a high-functioning team.
- Contribute to review cycle of Coordinator team members.
- Approve schedules and timecards of Coordinator team members.
- Create and update documentation for business processes, delegate as needed.
- Contribute input on goal setting and prioritization for the Coordinating team.
- Build and maintain cross-team partnerships.
- Inspire motivation, collaboration, and positivity within the HR Services team.
- Proactive in identifying and clearing roadblocks for the team.
- Regularly conduct one on one meetings with team members. Ensures the work of the individual team members is reviewed and that team members receive feedback on their work.
- As a member of the Leadership team, demonstrates through decisions, actions, and words a commitment to OverDrive's mission, our sustainability and community outreach initiatives.
- Exceptional organizational skills. Strong sense of imitative and attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving skills. Tolerance for ambiguity and rapidly shifting priorities.
- Ability to synthesize information from multiple sources and explain complex concepts in a simple way.
- Skilled in leadership, coaching, and collaboration.
- Skilled in clearly identifying and addressing customer needs (internal and external).
- Seeks opportunities to develop professional skills.
- 5+ years' of related experience.
