What we are looking for:We are seeking a Team Lead, Front End Developer to join us as we form a new front end team. As the Team Lead, you will play a pivotal role in leading a team of developers to design, develop, and deploy robust and efficient React-based applications. In addition to being hands on, this role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise in React development, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative team and work on a variety of projects that push the boundaries of technology.
What you'll do:
- Lead a team of React developers, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to foster their professional growth and development
- Architect and design scalable, maintainable, and high-performance React-based web applications.
- Develop and maintain high-quality, reusable, and efficient React components and user interfaces
- Implement front-end features and functionalities in alignment with project requirements and timelines
- Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers to ensure code quality and consistency
- Collaborate with backend developers to integrate frontend components with backend services and data sources
- Optimize application performance and ensure scalability by implementing caching strategies and performance monitoring tools
- Stay updated with emerging trends and technologies in front-end development
- Build reusable code and libraries for future use
- Conduct UI Testing
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance development processes, tools, and methodologies
Recommended Minimum Qualifications: Education and Experience: or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the key responsibilities of the job.
- Minimum of six (6) years of technical experience focused on front-end software development in React. Experience in React 18 is a plus, but open to experience with React 17.
- Prior experience as a people leader or mentor to developers with a deep interest in operating as a people leader in your next role
- Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and related web technologies
- Knowledge of serverless architecture and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and experience integrating frontend applications with backend services
- Understanding of software security principles and best practices
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Contributions to open-source projects or active participation in developer communities, is a plus but not required
