Team Lead - Global Procurement Diversity and Sustainability

The Business Diversity & Sustainability Lead within the Global Procurement team is responsible for developing the annual strategy and coordinating diversity, socially and environmentally responsible sourcing, and engagement of historically underutilized businesses. This role will also partner with Global Procurement, the Business Units, and Finance to attain the objectives for the business diversity program.
- Engage with certified and qualified diverse businesses
- Stimulate and promote economic development in the communities where we work
- Help break down barriers to growth that still exist for minority- and women-owned business owners
- Recognize and support firms that exhibit a commitment to diversity, irrespective of company size, longevity, and ownership
- Use a quantitative approach to how we measure our engagement.
MAJOR DUTIES
- Develop a comprehensive strategy for the business diversity program and sustainability to strengthen the diversity supplier pipeline
- Builds Supplier Diversity and Sustainability standards in all supplier touchpoints (i.e., Code of Conduct, RFPs, Contract Templates)
- Lead the program leveraging both internal and external best practices
- Ability to lead and coach other members of the Supplier Diversity team to achieve our goals
- Partners with category managers, product managers, business partners, and technical staff to understand requirements.
- Match supplier capabilities with stakeholders' business needs by maintaining a list of qualified diverse suppliers and a portfolio across most procurement categories
- Responsible of Business Diversity Tier I reporting, programs metrics, and programs benchmarks including annual reports and surveys
- Leads Tier II diverse spend reporting requirements and supplier diversity and environmental surveys
- Work with the Risk and Compliance, TPRM Procurement team, and Analytics team as applicable to develop an auditing and reporting process.
- Establishes and maintains strategic partnerships with diverse supplier organizations identifying mutually beneficial opportunities to increase engagement, foster connections and increase community presence
- Represent the company by participating on Supplier Diversity boards and affiliation entities
- Build awareness by leveraging compelling data and utilizing story-telling to the organization on the Supplier Diversity value proposition to progress program vision, goals, and maturity
- Executes special projects and/or process improvement initiatives
- Develop, present, and execute ad-hoc products
- Creates suggestions for improvements of global policies, programs and processes
- Able to serve as a key subject matter expert and mentor to other employees

- Proficient analytical skills to identify and interpret trends inn data and areas of opportunity
- Outstanding communication and influencing skills through all levels of the organization and with external parties and suppliers
- Ability to effectively communicate complex topics to a broad audience both in written and oral form

EXPERIENCE
- A College or University degree in Business, Accounting, Finance and seven to ten years relevant work experience. knowledge of Sourcing or Procurement is a plus.
- Proven experience in providing strategy and through leadership within corporate responsibility, responsible sourcing and clear understanding of performance metrics
- Minimum of 3 years of successful track record within procurement and supply chain functions including relevant work experience in building and leading supplier diversity programs
- Familiar with the latest Sustainability research and concepts
- Professional certifications are a plus.
