Lead a multidisciplinary group of engineers in the creation and tracking of deliverables, manage the group according to company metrics, work as customer interface to drive growth and customer satisfaction for a major aerospace company. This is a high visible position which requires frequent interaction with the customers, and internal executive management team. The team lead will be responsible to drive the QN/QRE business where the team is engaged in start to close of the QN items.

Responsibilities include

  • Lead the group of excellent project engineers who drives the QRE Tasking business from start to close of the QNs.
  • Engage in the resolving issues or hurdles in their respective group.
  • Prepare, schedule, coordinate and own the assigned projects
  • Track budgets, deliverables and report regularly on project status
  • Hire, build and retain talent and drive the proficiency growth of their team.
  • Create, and update the metrics and monthly goals, and present it to the customers.
  • Interact with engineers and client to ensure timely delivery of parts
  • Identify potential delays and devise solutions
  • Cooperate and communicate effectively with customers and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support
  • Drive continuous process improvements/cost savings
  • 2+ years of experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • College and/or working experience as a project engineer in an aerospace manufacturing environment
  • Working Experience in an environment with a focus on quick turn-around time
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Adaptable to change
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
  • Advanced MS Office skills with a focus on Excel and VBA macros is a plus
  • Familiarity with SAP a plus
  • Familiarity with Aerospace and Jet Engines is a plus
  • Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing is a plus
  • Ability to work with an interdisciplinary group of engineers, customers, and executives
  • Must have experience of Project Management of 1+ years in Cyient
