Team Lead, Quantitative Development

We are looking for a Tech Lead to join our Quantitative Development Team in Yerevan, AM. You will have an opportunity to Lead an open and collaborative team of excellent engineering talent, that is at the forefront of quantitative development.

You will play a crucial role in coordinating the development and maintenance of a platform for the delivery of trading strategies to production. Your expertise in the industry along with your knowledge of data analysis, ML processes and more, will be essential in implementing efficient and robust solutions for our the Quantitative Development Team - contributing to the company's success directly.

Yerevan, AM (Hybrid mode with 3 days in-office requirement)

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Development Initiatives - Oversee the development, maintenance, and enhancement strategy and action plan of trading platforms
• Guide a team of software engineers, providing mentorship and ensuring best practices are followed
• Work closely with Quantitative Researchers to implement and optimize trading strategies
• Ensure high-quality code standards are met and maintain comprehensive documentation for knowledge sharing and system integrity.
• Ensure the reliability and performance of the trading platform, managing/conducting rigorous testing and debugging.
• Collaborate with C-level leadership to understand potential strategies and where possible 
  

Basic Requirements

• Excellent verbal & written communication skills in ENG (full working-proficiency)
• Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience, with at least 2 years in a Tech / Dev Lead or similar role. Knowledge of trading concepts and strategies is a big plus.
• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related degrees.
• Proficiency in Python and Python ecosystem knowledge (VEnvs, package management and publishing, configuration management, concurrency).
• Familiarity with Pandas.
• Experience with developing back-end services.
• Knowledge of the Linux operating system and command-line tools.
• Strong understanding of testing methodologies such as unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing.
• Familiarity with data analysis/statistical modeling and machine learning techniques.
• Leadership Skills: Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and lead a team effectively
  

Nice To Have Requirements

• Familiarity with networking principles and protocols.
• Scientific Computing: Familiarity with scientific and historical code.
• MLOps experience would be a huge plus
• Experience with Databases and Distributed Computing 
• Knowledge of Conda package manager
• Verbal communication in RU would be a plus
