What you will achieve

The Team Lead Software Engineering (Java)
• Designs and codes applications using advanced technology; envisioning system features and functionality throughout development life cycle• Mentors, directs and guides application developers. • Determines design methodologies and completes programming using languages and software products; designing and conducting tests.• Assesses and recommends the best technical solutions for complex projects• Creates new ideas to improve application performance, stability and security.• Controls quality of coding and implementation• Multitasks and supervises work (ex. task assignments, code reviews) of junior team members • Supports users by developing documentation and assistance tools.• Works in the fast-paced environment• Brings a passion to learn and the best development practices to the team• Accurately estimates software development projects based on business requirements. • Works closely with other cross functional teams in doing design, development & deployment of the application

The successful candidate will have
• Hands on experience with Java 8 or above, Spring 4.x or above, Maven, Tomcat, Linux, Spring Boot, Spring technologies• Experience with unit (JUnit), functional and performance testing methodologies and tools• Experience with Microservices / Cloud based development• Sound Hands on knowledge of Object-Oriented Analysis • Experience with Cloud and containerization is a plus• Excellent knowledge of building Microservices based application hosted in Cloud environments• Extensive experience in development of RESTFUL Services.• Experience in leading small teams and responsible for technical design, code review, NFR & on time delivery of modules handled by a team• Expertise in end to end development of Modern web apps and works with Cross functional teams on Requirements, Design, Development & deployment• Understanding of TDD practices and experience with JUnit/TestNG/Unit Testing and mocking tools• Proven programming skills with strong computer science fundamentals• Experience in API documentation using tools like Swagger UI• Research and recommend design options and create proof of concepts for potential design feasibility for the application• Understanding of highly complex engineering systems like parallelization, multithreading.

Desired skills• Experience with React JS.• Experience with modern JavaScript ES6Experience with Redux• Familiarity with server-side components such as JSON, XML, SQL, etc.• Experience using Webpack and Babel

Ideal Background:• Typically, 6+ years of hands-on Java software engineering experience• Minimum of 2 years in leading development teams• Proven programming skills with strong computer science fundamentals with bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering• Experience in hospitality or travel domain is a plus
