About This Job
As a Team Lead, Talent Acquisition, you will act as a player/coach. You will lead end-to-end recruitment by focusing on innovative sourcing and attraction of top talent, building and executing talent pipelines, driving superior customer-focus, and delivering an exceptional candidate experience. You will also play a critical role in shaping the talent acquisition team by leading by example, monitoring end-to-end recruitment activities and ensuring day to day operations of the talent acquisition team.
Essential Functions
- Autonomously manage and drive the full life cycle recruiting process, from requisition through new hire onboarding and motivate a talent acquisition team to achieve goals and service level agreements
- Lead and coach on effective end-to-end recruitment strategies to attract highly qualified candidate and build diverse talent pipelines while delivering superior candidate communication and promoting the employer brand in the marketplace
- Utilize a dynamic and collaborative approach to talent acquisition with a broad understanding of the long-term strategic aims of business lines with the ability to demonstrate creativity, business acumen, and responsiveness, to efficiently support the business
- Develop, maintain and lead trusting relationships with hiring managers as assigned, talent management partners, candidates, vendors, universities, and the community
- Champion a high-performance environment, meeting metrics and goals, and fostering an inclusive work environment while serving as a mentor and model to the talent acquisition team
- Proactively, and consistently, share pertinent and comprehensive information and updates to appropriate stakeholders and leadership
- Seek continuous improvements and makes recommendations on new processes, partnerships, or technologies
- Utilize the applicant tracking system to facilitate the interview and hiring processes, accurately capturing data in real time as well as coach team on best practices
- Act as project manager for select Talent Acquisition initiatives/projects
- Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
- Strong knowledge of the talent acquisition field, including best practices
- Proven ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels
- Ability to network with, attract, and source a diverse candidate pool
- Ability to utilize behavioral interviewing techniques and thoroughly vet candidates
- Strong personal integrity, long-term view, growth mindset, and the ability to maintain the strictest levels of confidentiality
- Ability to develop and coach team members with proven ability to achieve results through collaboration and teamwork
- Self-starter with strong decision-making skills and the ability to effectively communicate and interact with all levels of the company, clearly expressing ideas and concepts, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to adapt to changing needs, identify areas of process improvement, support diversity initiatives, and ensure positive experiences, in alignment with Commerce's purpose, mission & values
- Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values
- Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required
- 3+ years talent acquisition experience required
- 1+ year leadership experience required
- Ability to utilize an applicant tracking system for tracking workflow and documentation purposes required
- Workday experience preferred
- Candidate Relationship Management (CRM) systems experience preferred
- Third party job boards/databases such as LinkedIn, CareerBuilder, etc. experience preferred
- Experience innovatively sourcing candidates through different channels and utilizing technology preferred
