We are seeking for a Team Leader reporting to the Manufacturing Supervisor, to be based in Bangsar South, KL. In this role, the successful Team Leader will manage and coordinate a team of Electronic Assemblers in Manufacturing and providing work direction to the team to ensure repair targets are met.
Key Responsibilities :
The Team Leader will be responsible for the day-to-day activities & the deliverables of the manufacturing set goals on a daily basis. The Team Leader will also be responsible for managing & coaching his/her team’s Cochlear Hear Behaviours.
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Managing & providing leadership for manufacturing processes of multiple products at various stages.
- Ensuring workload & line balancing are done in real-time to ensure a consistent quality high throughput.
- Daily set targets are met & the team is utilised effectively & efficiently during any unexpected events.
- Ensuring, ERP (Oracle) transactions are completed by the team in accordance with policy and work instructions in a timely manner.
- Accurate reporting of manufacturing operations’ outcomes in regular basis (i.e. daily/weekly report).
- Involving in audit action plan discussions and implementing of preventative and corrective actions to eliminate future non-conformances.
- Provide constructive feedback to EAs and trainees and all levels of employees in a timely manner.
- Proactively identify and implement process improvements in their respective areas.
- Support the implementation of process/system improvement activities in manufacturing lines.
- Maintaining accurate training records of Electronic Assemblers and identifying training requirements according to the ramp-up plan.
- Performs the final inspection and sign-off for the quality assurance of finish product.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum Degree in Electrical / Electronics engineering or equivalent.
- At least 5 years of experience managing a team of minimum 15 team members in Manufacturing industry is a MUST for this role.
- ESSENTIAL to have experience in Lean Manufacturing/ 5S background.
- Experience in regular production process/training audits of personnel, tooling and equipment in assigned areas is an added advantage for this role.
- Strong understanding in manufacturing principles is highly essential for this role.
- Demonstrated skills in workflow planning, scheduling and control will be highly desirable for this position.
