The Cybersecurity & Technology Controls (CTC) team at JPMorgan Chase aligns the firm's cybersecurity, access management, controls, and resiliency teams. The group proactively and strategically partners with all lines of business and functions to enable them to design, adopt, and integrate appropriate controls; deliver processes and solutions efficiently and consistently; and drive automation of controls. The team's number one priority is to enable the business by keeping the firm safe, stable, and resilient.
Within CTC, you will be joining the Data Assurance function where we support our enterprise technology partners in creating secure, stable, and compliant technology by providing independent assurance that our Data Programs and controls are effective.
As the Technology Controls lead, you will serve an SME on Technology Controls and the Controls Ecosystem for the Data Assurance organization. You will ensure that the Control Domain Authorities, Product Teams are designing and implementing sustainable, industry-leading controls and assessments to protect the firm's data and that of its customers. You will have a demonstrable impact on reducing data risk.
Activities include:
- Serving as an SME on Technology Controls across the Data Assurance Organization providing oversight and support of:
- Control Procedure Development
- Assessment Development
- Automation of control implementation and measurement
- Publication of Control Procedures i
- Ensuring that Data Assurance approach to control procedure assessment stays consistent with the roadmap for the CTC Controls Ecosystem
- Providing guidance on potential integrations with SDLC tooling
- Representing Data Assurance in firmwide control uplift programs focused on areas such as AI/ML and public cloud
- Identifying opportunities to uplift existing controls so as to reduce friction for application development teams and leverage automation and AI/ML in the assessment process.
- Developing partnerships with other parts of the Assurance organization
Qualifications:
- 5-10+ years of experience in technology controls space, including, preferably, previous work as an Information Security Manager Controls Lead or as a member of a Control Domain Authority
- Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills
- Understanding of the agile SDLC process and how controls are built, tested and automated.
- Experience working on complex, multistakeholder programs.
- Proven leader and influencer with the ability to think on their feet
- Ability to apply critical thinking and logical / structured framework to shape the program's approach
- Outstanding analytical, written, and verbal communication skills; ability to articulate complex ideas, concepts, and solutions at the senior management level
- Strong interpersonal skills; comfortable with partnering with people at all levels and across all functional areas (e.g., Legal, Compliance, Controls, Technology, and Business Operations) and across stakeholders with varying needs and opinions
- Ability to synthesize feedback to drive practical solutions to complex problems
- Solid understanding of the risk and control environment within JPMorgan and of the company's business practices; familiarity with the company's products and services
- Experience developing and implementing policies, standards, procedures, or guidance documents to be used by a wide range of users
- Self-starter; able to work autonomously with discipline
