Job Description

Team: IT

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Tech Lead UI Systems Engineer (Healthcare Systems) in United States.

In this role, you will act as a senior technical leader responsible for the UI layer of complex, mission-critical healthcare systems supporting state-level programs. You will drive the design, development, and maintenance of web-based portals and applications built on Microsoft technologies, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security across environments. The position combines hands-on engineering with technical leadership, system-wide troubleshooting, and cross-functional coordination. You will support both client-facing and internal platforms, working across development, DevOps, and infrastructure layers. This is a highly impactful role where your work directly supports healthcare service delivery for vulnerable populations. You will also mentor engineers and contribute to architectural decisions in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Accountabilities

In this role, you will provide technical leadership for UI systems supporting healthcare management platforms while ensuring stability, performance, and continuous improvement across applications and environments. You will:

  • Serve as technical lead for .NET-based healthcare portals, including UI components, web applications, and supporting services
  • Design, develop, and maintain GUI pages, web applications, APIs, and subsystem interfaces using Microsoft technologies
  • Support SQL Server and SSRS reporting environments, ensuring performance and reliability
  • Troubleshoot system-wide issues across applications, infrastructure, and integrations, including production support
  • Manage application deployments, code migrations, and environment promotions across Test, UAT, and Production
  • Support system monitoring, performance tuning, and incident resolution across healthcare applications
  • Contribute to DevOps activities including CI/CD support, release scripts, and build automation
  • Provide on-call and after-hours support as needed for critical system operations
  • Mentor developers, conduct code reviews, and support onboarding and cross-training activities
  • Maintain system documentation, security configurations, and operational procedures
  • Support Active Directory, IIS, and Windows Server-related configuration and maintenance activities
  • Requirements

The ideal candidate brings deep full-stack and UI engineering expertise within enterprise or healthcare environments, along with strong leadership and troubleshooting capabilities. You should have:

    • 9+ years of application development experience using ASP.NET, C#, JavaScript, HTML5, MS SQL Server, and Oracle
    • Strong experience with Microsoft .NET Framework, IIS, and Windows Server environments
    • Background in healthcare systems, ideally including claims or pharmacy processing or real-time transaction systems
    • Experience with system integration, UI development, and enterprise portal architectures
    • Familiarity with PowerShell, Microsoft Command Language, and DevOps tooling
    • Experience with source control and build tools such as Vault or similar systems
    • Strong problem-solving skills with ability to diagnose complex system and application issues
    • Experience working in production support and mission-critical environments
    • Leadership experience including mentoring engineers and supporting technical teams
    • Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced, and highly regulated environment
    • Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement
    • Benefits

      • Competitive annual salary ranging from $100,000 to $115,000 depending on experience and location
      • Fully remote work within the United States
      • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance
      • 401(k) retirement plan with employer match
      • Generous paid time off, including vacation, holidays, and flexible leave policies
      • Education assistance and professional development programs
      • Access to technical training academies and leadership development resources
