Job Title: Tech Lead/Engineering Manager - Full Stack
Position Type: Full-Time
Location: San Jose, CA
Salary Range / Rate: Base $200,000 - $400,000
Responsibilities:
- Be responsible to build intuitive and reliable shopping experience including browsing product details, check-out, shopping, return, refund etc.
- Be responsible for Promotion and Campaign, building platforms and tools for merchants, clients and business to manage campaigns, deliver best results, and receive actionable insights.
- Develop data insights capabilities for global e-commerce platforms, enabling users to extract actionable insights and intelligence from data to maximize their revenue potential and decision-making efficacy.
- Collaborate closely with product and data teams to evolve data-empowered capabilities in data visualization, operational analysis, intelligent diagnosis, product/strategy optimization, market intelligence, etc verticals.
- Drive continuous improvements to engineering excellence and efficiency, lead research & development into key areas of optimizations for backend systems and services, including data security, systems architecture, and computational efficiency & scalability.
- Drive and shape the growth of a highly effective product engineering team, provide professional and technical leadership to support the professional growth of individual team members.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or above degree in Computer Science or related fields from accredited and reputable institutions.
- 5+ years of experience developing highly scalable backend services and systems using at least one of Java/Golang/Python/Scala/C++, with at least 2+ years of technical or team leadership experience.
- Proven experience in software programming capabilities, exhibits good code design and coding style.
- Proven experience of understanding of data structure, algorithm design and analysis, networking, data security, and highly scalable systems design.
- Proficiency in knowledge of common databases and messaging frameworks like MySQL/Redis/Kafka etc.
- Experience in product/business understanding, able to align product engineering directions to support current and future product and business.
Preferred Qualification:
- Experience with e-commerce or cross-timezone collaboration.
