WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking an experienced Program Manager to be part of a high-performing Program Management Office (PMO) delivering new capabilities and value to the Enterprise. This position is responsible for providing large-scale program management for critical tracks of work within the SEC program including scope, schedule, resource management, quality, risk/issue management, dependency management and change control.

The ideal candidate is a self starter, flexible problem solver and an outstanding communicator who is comfortable learning quickly and connecting the dots across multiple functions within Nike's matrixed organization. The candidate should have substantially demonstrated experiences managing large-scale programs, be proactive, show the capacity to lead several concurrent tracks of work and build trusted relationships with peers and key technology and business partners.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

Reporting into the Sr. Director of the PMO, you'll be collaborating with Tech Aligned Teams, SEC Teams and the system integrator to track achievements and dependencies, elevate issues and risks and report on program progress. Other duties include:

  • Understanding and communicating project dependencies and constraints; driving clarity of critical path tasks within SEC and with our Tech Aligned Teams
  • Ensuring milestone/deliverable accuracy, and communicating project metrics and analytics to drive rigorous execution, enable early insight to potential issues, and support data driven decision making to ensure the project remains on course for success
  • Acting as an escalation point for complex problems; recommending and implementing corrective action, as necessary, to improve program delivery performance
  • Providing consulting to project leaders, as necessary, to drive understanding and adoption of PMO processes
  • Building strong, collaborative relationships within the team, across Nike functions, business and technology stakeholders, and partners

WHAT YOU BRING

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field or combination of relevant education, experience, and training. Masters degree in related field (ie. MBA, MFM, MS, other) preferred.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience within Business, IT, or a related field; self-motivated, with a high sense of accountability, urgency, and drive
  • Sound capabilities working with Jira or other industry leading agile software solution preferred
  • Highly analytical with ability to leverage decision support tools, analytic models, and program management software to drive data-driven decision making (Microsoft Excel, Jira, Tableau, etc.)
  • Experience working successfully in a highly matrixed work environment
  • Expert level program management skills in delivery of large scale software implementations, experience with ERP implementations preferred
  • Effective communication, team dynamics, and conflict resolution skills
  • Strong facilitation skills within teams and cross-functional groups
