Position Overview

Alarm.com, a rapidly growing, entrepreneurial technology company, is seeking a Technical Account Manager (TAM) to join our talented international team working from Lisbon in Portugal. A TAM has two main areas of focus:

  • Driving the Technical Onboarding process to make sure that new partners have all the training and tools to succeed from the start
  • Managing a subset of Alarm.com’s key international partners to ensure they efficiently utilize the full suite of Alarm.com services.

This includes everything from backend integrations to customer support tools to end-user features and functionality.  We’re searching for high-powered talent with a passion for technology, a consultative and entrepreneurial spirit, and a desire to drive and manage relationships internally across departments and externally with our partners. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

The TAM’s primary job responsibilities will include:

  • Managing technical sales relationships with select partners in Iberia alongside Account Executives
  • Acting as the escalation point for technical issues
  • Providing valuable ongoing product support and training to partners via webinar and on-site
  • Champion and advocate for partner requirements by gathering feedback from partners and other key stakeholders on how we can improve our product and processes
  • Representing Alarm.com at various trade shows and events
  • Demonstrate in-depth and current understanding of all existing and new Alarm.com product release features to properly respond to partner inquiries
  • Support the Sales Team during some stages of the pre-sales process.
  • Creating training materials like presentations, technical guides, and videos to facilitate the ongoing training process for partners.
  • Conducting local and remote tests for new features in close cooperation with Product Managers and Quality Engineers.

REQUIREMENTS

  • BA or BS, Engineering, Math, or sciences preferred
  • Native Portuguese speaker
  • Spanish is a plus
  • The ability to communicate in English with vendors and internal teams, both in writing and verbally, in a clear, professional manner
  • A self-starter who can operate independently.
  • Proficiency and up-to-date knowledge of consumer, cloud, and IoT technology
  • Strong people skills; natural customer service orientation and disposition. Candidate must enjoy working with clients and supporting internal customers in the organization
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • The ability and commitment to meet deadlines, even during high-volume periods
  • Flexible and positive attitude that fosters team spirit
  • Availability to travel up to 50% within Iberia.
  • Experience with the following is a plus: Electronic security, access control, home automation, or video over IP
