Technical Accountant

Pendo is looking for a Technical Accountant with a background in public or corporate accounting to join our rapidly growing Finance Team. In this role, you will partner with the Senior Accounting Manager to build the accounting backbone for a high-growth software company backed by top institutional VCs. This is a highly visible position and a good opportunity to help build out the finance function as the Company continues to grow.

Role Responsibilities 

• Play an active role in the multi entity, global financial close process and preparation of month-end journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement reporting and analysis
• Actively seek to improve existing accounting processes and document/assess internal controls 
• Work cross functionally with different departments including payroll, procurement and FP&A 
• Support audit requests including reconciliations, financial statement preparation and research of technical accounting guidance
• Research accounting standards and write technical memos as needed
• Ad hoc duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications 

• BS degree in Accounting or a similar degree
• Technical knowledge of ASC 842, ASC 606 and ASC 718
• 1-2 years public accounting experience preferred, or 3+ years of progressive corporate accounting experience within a SaaS organization 
• Experience in account reconciliations
• Deep knowledge of systems and reporting
• Software knowledge: Excel & Google Sheets

Preferred Qualifications 

• CPA certification
• International Experience
• Experience with FloQast, Intacct, etc.

Compensation 

Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry, and are one part of many compensation, benefits and other reward opportunities we provide.

The expected salary range for this role to be performed in Raleigh, NC is $60,000 - $75,000 annually

Individual pay rate decisions, including offers made within and over the expected salary range, are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at the company.
