The Technical Accounting and Reporting Manager will be an integral member of SoundHound’s accounting/finance team, will report to the SEC Reporting Director, and will manage technical accounting and corporate reporting work streams.

In this role, you will:

• Manage coordination with external auditors (PwC), to include the preparation of PBCs (prepared by client schedules), alignment of company positions/accounting disclosures, responses to auditor inquiries, etc.
• Via Workiva, manage preparation and filing of SEC Form 10-Ks, 10-Qs, etc.
• Conduct and document technical accounting research related to complex transactions. Provide technical guidance to accounting/finance teams.
• Participate in M&A and other strategic initiatives from due diligence through closure providing technical expertise and support on accounting, reporting, and control matters
• Accurately and comprehensively collaborate with internal and external expertise to prepare key accounting positions for significant transactions
• Perform other ad hoc activities when needed

We would love to hear from you if:

• You are obsessively detail-oriented and leave nothing to chance
• You hold a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license
• You earned a degree in accounting
• You have 12+ years (or 8+ years with Master’s degree) relevant experience
• You independently research and apply accounting/reporting principles and maintain solid knowledge of US GAAP and SEC regulations

We’d be especially excited if you have experience as a Big-4 auditor and have seasoned, hands-on experience with Workiva/XBRL tagging and Netsuite.

 This role is available throughout the United States except for the following 15 states: AL, AK, DE, IA, ME, MS, MO, NH, ND, RI, SC, VT, WV, WI, and WY. Employees within a 60-mile radius of our Santa Clara, CA office are expected to work from the office on three pre-scheduled, company-wide “core days” each month to encourage cross-team connection and in-person collaboration. Aside from these core days, this job allows for virtual/remote, hybrid, and in-office workplace setting options. The salary range for this position is $109,000 - $159,000 plus equity. In addition to salary and equity, you will receive comprehensive healthcare, paid time off, and other benefits. Our recruiting team will provide a specific salary range based on location and years of experience.
