Technical Accounting Consulting - Project Manager - LOCATION FLEXIBLE Summary:

RSM is seeking a self-motivated, forward-thinking, organized Project Manager who will work closely with our Business Valuations practice. Our Business Valuation team performs valuations of business entities, intellectual property, intangible assets, common and preferred stock and other securities along with partnership interests, private debt instruments, options, warrants, and other derivative products. These services are provided to assist clients with mergers, acquisitions and dispositions; taxation planning and compliance; financial reporting; bankruptcy and reorganization; litigation and dispute resolution; and strategic planning. We also support assurance and tax clients pursuant to their valuation needs. The Project Manager will support the workflow, execution, and operational needs of this practice.

Areas of Focus:

• Partner strategically with the Business Valuations Practice to support the execution of short and long-term goals
• Participate in setting direction, making decisions, develop implementation plans and performance measurements for the ongoing success of the team
• Develop leadership meeting objectives and agendas, facilitate leadership meetings, and provide management oversight to strategic and tactical imperatives
• Participate in and contribute to the development and execution of growth strategies
• Performance Analysis
• Utilize performance reports and systems to perform detailed analysis of identified under performing areas summarizing findings and improvement recommendations to the Consulting Leader
• Business Oversight
• Continually identify, assess, monitor and communicate the issues and risks of a project/activity to the appropriate stakeholder
• Provide interim hands-on leadership, management and oversight to troubled initiatives on an as-needed basis
• Provide day to day and ongoing performance management, development, coaching and exit-counseling of employees

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree
• 2+ working in a professional services firm; consulting preferred
• 5+ years working in assigned area with the ability to effectively manage multiple projects
• Project coordination and/or management experience to drive internal initiatives within the Business Valuations practice
• Previous experience in managing others in a team environment - directly or indirectly
• Experience in navigating in a matrix reporting environment solving/resolving complex issues
• Project management certification strongly preferred

Technical & Soft Skills:

• Advanced Microsoft Office Skills, particularly excel, word, power point, Outlook
• Financial analysis (understand net revenues, margin, FTE headcounts, bill rates)

• The ability to work with senior management and partners, directing them to be responsive and collaborative
