We want you to think big and act bold through expressing your authentic best self! Anaplan is looking for a Technical Accounting Manager to join our Accounting team in, San Francisco, CA. This is a stellar opportunity to get involved in a highly visible, large-scale SaaS cloud company. This role is an immediate full-time position. This person will be responsible for supporting the month-end close and reporting, and quarterly/annual audit process, as well as identifying and driving project-based work to provide process efficiencies for the team. The candidate should expect to demonstrate current skills while also focusing on learning quickly and making valuable contributions to the current processes. This role will be reporting to the Senior Manager, Accounting.

Insight on your impact- Assist in debt accounting, debt covenant, and global treasury operations
- Prepare monthly/quarterly cashflow analysis
- Prepare monthly management reporting package
- Assist in the preparation of required quarterly and annual financial statements
- Responsible for equity accounting and disclosure matters, including prepare equity related journal entries and reconciliations
- Be a proactive liaison with external auditors and internal cross-functional team to drive timely closure of financial statement reviews and technical accounting matters
- Monitor, assess, and implement new accounting pronouncements applicable to the company and partner with team members to analyze the impact
- Manage and periodically update the accounting policies owned and maintained by the team
- Take initiative for operational improvements to scale and optimize the financial reporting process as needed
- Act as a technical accounting resource for the company by researching, resolving and documenting accounting issues that arise during the year
- Provide technical accounting assistance for ad hoc projects, including coordinating project meetings and follow-up
To be successful in the role, you possess the following skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA a plus
- 5-7+ Years of Public Accounting or a mix of Public Accounting and Industry experience, Big 4 experience a plus
- Experience in Anaplan and Workday are a plus
- Very strong excel skills and passion for new technologies
- Demonstrated ownership, problem-solving and analytical skills, combined with impeccable integrity
- Ability to operate in a fast paced, rapidly evolving, highly transactional and data driven role
- Strong verbal and written communication skills needed to interface and establish rapport with all levels of the organization
- You are passionate about driving continuous improvement in yourself and within your functions
- You challenge the old ways of doing things and enjoy changing the status quo to optimize process
