JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Executive Director, National Accounts, this role is responsible for ensuring quotes are developed correctly and coordinated with the engineering group and pricing team to meet on-time performance with Fleet customers. The successful candidate will support efforts of Blue Bird's Fleet Sales organization through the development of product education and training, forecasting, lead generation, qualification, and assisting with closing sales. They will also develop and execute strategies that position Blue Bird as the leader in the Private Sector.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and analyze orders for highly specialized content requirements, determining the suitability of specifications for intended service.
  • Prepare documentation for fleet contracts and quotes.
  • Assist sales departments in developing required information for quotes and orders.
  • Coordinate information with design, bill of material, materials, production, and field service departments.
  • Maintain and update applicable files and records, forecasts on projected demand, and historical data.
  • Investigate the root cause of shortages to ensure the best forecast strategies.
  • Lead or assist with continuous improvement projects to enhance department forecasting practices.
  • Provide market analysis and ongoing updates on National Fleets based upon strong understanding of company products or services.
  • Lead and participate in product demonstrations while identifying product improvements and market opportunities.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Strong computer skills in Salesforce, Specification Builder, Microsoft 365
  • Professional and effective communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing issues, opportunities, and objectives effectively
  • Able to act as a change agent within the organization
  • Able to evaluate, develop, and support sales prospects
  • Able to work with other functional leaders; effective negotiator with internal departments
  • Business Relationships - Establish and maintain strong internal business relationships with Pricing, Field Service, Parts, Engineering, Warranty, Production, and Quality department personnel.
  • Strategic Partners - Identify and work closely with key industry partners to support continued growth for alternative powertrain sales. Create strong relationships with key customers to increase customer service satisfaction and brand loyalty.
  • Motivation -Develop a program where very little exists. Motivate others and aligns the team within and outside of Blue Bird. Has the credibility to define the possible.

EDUCATION AND EXPEREINCE:

  • High School Diploma required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 0-2 years of administrative skills required.
